Donald Barnes, 76, of Benton passed away on Sept. 3, with his loving family by his side. He was born March 19, 1936, to the late Reece and Mabel Barnes in Keo. Donald retired from Alcoa after 30 years.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, working on airplanes and cars. Donald was a very devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Shane Mathis; a sister, Ann Cline; and his brother, Gerald Barnes.
Donald is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Marilyn Barnes; four daughters, Donna Bradley and husband Bill, Dana Smith and husband Randy, Darla Tiner and husband Nathan and Dee Lockert and husband Charlie; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Nona Pickard and husband Billy and Clara Jones; and many nieces, nephews and friends, who loved him and will miss him dearly.
A celebration of life will be held at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home in Bryant. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Pallbearers are Adam, Anthony, Scott, Cody, Sam and Joe. Jason and Cody are honorary pallbearers.
