Dorothy Elizabeth Newcomb Counts

Dorothy Elizabeth Newcomb Counts, 93, a resident of the Collegeville community, died Monday, Jan.16.  She was born June 29, 1918 in Saline County to the late William and Cora Lee Wright Newcomb.  Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, William Con and Cora Lee Wright Newcomb; her husband, Frank Counts; her brothers, Lawrence Newcomb and wife Mildred of Collegeville, Frank Newcomb and wife Juanita of Scott; her sisters, Bea Gordon and husband Louie of California and Mary Leetha Newcomb of Scott. 
She is survived by her sons, Wallace Counts and wife Carolyn of Benton and Billy Counts and wife Stephanie of Mabelvale; her daughter, Linda Gail Radford and husband Gary of Collegeville; and many who called her “Mom."
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Michael and Polly Radford of Benton, Donny and Stacey Counts of Missouri, Tommy and Robin Radford of Bryant, Stephan and Jenny Durham of Georgia, and Mandy Counts of Mabelvale; her great-grandchildren, Abigail Radford of Bryant, Cadence and Averie Counts of Missouri, and Jackson and Parker Durham of Georgia. 
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20, at Ashby Funeral Home with Norman Bryant and Dennis Yarberry officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.  
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Jan. 19, at the funeral home.
The family is at the home of Wallace and Carolyn Counts.
