Dorothy Lorene Atchley, age 86, of Bryant, formerly of Sheridan, died Friday, Nov. 25, 2011.
She was born Dec. 8, 1924, in Prattsville, the daughter of the late James Alison Crutchfield and Lady May (Kennedy) Crutchfield.
She was employed by Westinghouse for more than 33 years. Mrs. Dorothy was recently named the 2011 Southern Trace Health Care beauty queen.
She was of the Baptist faith for many years.
She is survived by two daughters, Judy Jones and husband Jerry of Van Buren and Brenda Berry of Benton; four brothers, Zula Bird, Zelma Highsmith, Jerry Crutchfield and James Crutchfield of Sheridan; two sisters, Helen Lipscomb of Seminole, Fla., and Betty Tapley of Greenbrier; six grandchildren, Bobby, Diana, Michael, Jeffrey and Tina; 10 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren and another one is expected. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives who will miss her dearly. 
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 27, 2011, at Buie Funeral Home in Sheridan with Brother Brad Warren officiating.
Visitation will be held at 1 p.m. preceding the service.
Following the funeral, burial will be at Philadelphia Cemetery near Prattsville.
