Dorothy Rule Jones

Dorothy Rule Jones, 96, of Bryant passed away Monday, April 25, 2011. 
She was born Nov. 10, 1914, in Lonoke to the late Dr. E. Clifton Rule and Oma Harrell Rule. 
Mrs. Jones was a graduate of Pine Bluff High School. She attended Hendrix Collage and Galloway Girls School. Mrs. Jones married John Clayton Jones Sr. on Sept. 8, 1932, and he passed away on Feb. 11, 1977. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Red Cross Volunteer, member of Junior League of Pine Bluff and a Life Master of Duplicate Bridge. 
Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sons, John Clayton Jones Jr. and Lenord Harrell Jones; and a brother, Harrell Rule.
She is survived by her two sons, Clif Jones Sr. of Bryant and the Rev. David Jones of Benton; nine grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the First United Methodist Church in Benton.
