Doug Davis

October 24, 2013

Doug Davis, 51, of Conway went to be with his Heavenly Father, the Lord Jesus Christ, on Friday, Oct. 18, 2013. He was born Wednesday, Oct. 17, 1962 in El Dorado, to Jim R. Davis and Gloria (Pyle) Wisdom.
Doug was a good father, faithful and loyal husband, who was strong, independent, loved the Lord, and cared for his family. He was hard-working and "bullet proof."
He was a great son-in-law and brother-in-law, who was more of a son and brother to his family. Known as a handyman, he could fix anything. He was an outdoorsman, who wasn't much of a shot, but loved it all the same. If you needed it, he'd gladly give you the shirt off his back. He had a great sense of humor and loved to tell stories.
He was preceded in death by a nephew, Drake Everett Walker; and a stepsister, Charity Humphrey.
Doug is survived by his loving wife, Paula (Johnson) Davis; two sons, Jeremy Davis and Jordan Davis; his father, Jim Davis and wife Dean Davis; his mother, Gloria (Pyle) Wisdom; a brother, Don Davis and wife Sandra; a stepsister, April Ashworth; aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; and other extended family and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., on Tuesday, Oct. 22, at Life Line Baptist Church on Baseline Road in Little Rock with the Rev. Jeff Dial officiating. A committal service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Crestlawn Memorial Park in Conway.
Visitation is set from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 21, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to: Drake Everett Walker Foundation, P.O. Box 11622, Conway, AR 72034.
