Edith Fraleigh

Edith Fraleigh, 82 of Benton passed away April 20, 2011, in Benton. 
She was born Oct. 7, 1928, in Bremerhaven, Germany, to Gustaf Bartels and Else Bartels.
She was a homemaker, worked for the Benton Courier and was a swimming coordinator for the Red Cross at Tyndall Park in Benton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Fraleigh.
Survivors include her son, Steven Fraleigh and wife Jasmin of Benton; three grandchildren, Christopher James Smith, Nickolaus Edward Smith and Kaydance Taylor Fraleigh; two great-grandchildren, Samantha Smith and Aubrey Smith; and other nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the family residence with the Rev. Kim Hammer officiating. Inurnment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander. Arrangements Roller-Ballard Funeral Home, call 315-4047.
