Edward G. 'Eddie Boy' Fletcher

Edward G. "Eddie Boy" Fletcher, 86, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 25, 2013. Edward, a 1945 graduate of Little Rock High School, served in the U.S. Army as quartermaster in Japan.
Eddie married the love of his life, Mary Jo "Jody" Lewis, in 1947. They raised their family until her death in 1983.
Eddie was vice president of General Press Services in Little Rock; published The Arkansas Legislative Digest, The Daily Record, Arkansas Baptist News Magazine, small town newspapers and many other publications.
After retiring in 1985, Eddie continued his love of printing with Lloyd Mayfield at their shop in Mabelvale. Eddie enjoyed hunting, fishing and dancing the polka with his wife.
Eddie is survived by two daughters, Robin Ashmore and Sharon Blankenship and husband John; one son, Danny Fletcher and wife Cathy; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 30, at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander.
Visitation is set from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 29. at Griffin Leggett Forest Hills Funeral Home, 10200 HIghway 5 North, Alexander, Ark.
