Elizabeth Mary McGriff

Elizabeth Mary McGriff, 70, of Benton, passed away Friday, Oct. 7.  She was born Jan. 8, 1941, in Burlington, Iowa.
Mrs. McGriff worked more than 15 years as a supervisor in vending and was part owner of Bill’s Auto Repair.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Victor M. and Elizabeth Mae Stodt; daughter, Lorry Hawk; and a brother, William Anthony Stodt.
She is survived by her husband, William McGriff of Benton; two daughters, Judith Hawk of Benton and Valorie Berta of South Bend, Ind.; two brothers, Joe Stodt of Benton and Victor Martin Stodt of Burlington, Iowa; and two sisters, Alice Simmons of Raleigh, N.C., and Cecilia Timmerman of Alexander.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
