Elva Louise “Lou” Hester

Elva Louise “Lou” Hester, 92, of Benton passed away Wednesday evening, March 14, 2012, at Saline Memorial Hospice House at Bryant.
She was born Oct. 9, 1919, to Albert V. and Rosebud Greenway Barnette at Blocher, Ark. She was a graduate of Fountain Lake High School and a member of Grape Chapel Church of God.
Mrs. Hester was preceded in death by her husband, Rogie L. Hester; her parents; her brother, Walker Barnette; and her stepmother, Etha Lee Barnette.
She is survived by her son, Albert Lee Hester of Bryant; her daughter, Sandra Catton and husband Jim of Bryant; a granddaughter, Carol Catton Curtis and husband Shannon; three grandsons, Michael Catton and wife Debra, Clint Hester and wife Kim, and Aaron Hester and wife Amy; and seven great-grandchildren, Lauren Sanders, Preston Curtis, Abby, Logan, and Reid Catton, Kaylie and Lucas Hester.
Additional survivors include step-grandchildren, Cameron and Darian Lee and Victoria Engel.
A graveside service by Ashby Funeral Home will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, March 19, at Pinecrest Memorial Park with the Rev. Rick Dunn officiating.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 18, at the funeral home.
