Emma Jean Walters

Emma Jean Walters, 91, of Malvern passed away April 18, 2011, at Hot Spring County Medical Center. 
She was born Nov. 3, 1919, in Benton to Dave W. and Rosa (Halsted) Dove.  She was a homemaker and a member of Third Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death are her parents; her husband, Samuel H. Walters; and infant son, Larry Walters; three great-grandsons; brothers, David, Robert, Charles and J.W. Dove; and sister, Rachel Collier.
Survivors include her sons, Sammy (Teri), Jim (Charlotte), Bill (Sharon), Doyce (Mary Ann), Richard (Judy), Doug (Jo), all of Malvern and Greg Walters of Texas; daughters, Joyce Loyd (Danny), Cathy Walters, Theresa Terry (Nolen), all of Malvern and Betty Cotton of Mabelvale; sisters, Louise Carrick of Texas, and Rose Marie Green of Benton; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Service will be held at 2 p.m. today at Regency Funeral Home in Malvern with the Rev. John Owen officiating. Interment will follow at Francois Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons. 
Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Third Baptist Church.
