Ernest “Dick” Melton

Ernest “Dick” Melton, 68, of Benton passed away on March 26, 2011. He was born on February 24, 1943 to the late Herbert and Zona Melton in Little Rock.
Dick enjoyed being outdoors whether hunting, fishing or camping. His most treasured memories are times spent with his family by his side. Dick was a 49 year member of I.B.E.W. Local Union 295. He retired after 39 years while serving as the Assistant Business Manager. He was a Mason at Mary Williams Lodge #307 and attended Cornerstone Church of the Nazarene.
Dick is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Sylvia; two sons, Lee and Lance Melton; one daughter, Suzanne Melton Johnson (Chris); six grandchildren, Christen, Casey, Chase, Allie, Drake and Jasey; two great grandchildren, Braden and Ashton; two sisters, Lynda Bowers (Jim) and Sharon Connell (Mike); one brother, Kevin Melton (Dana) and many other family, friends and church family that will miss him dearly.
