Ervin C. Huey, 84, of Bauxite passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2014.  He was born April 26, 1930 in Saline County.
Mr. Huey was a U.S. Marine and owner of Huey’s Conoco and Phillip’s 66. 
He was a member of Holland Chapel Missionary Baptist Church and the Arkie Belles Family Campers.
Mr. Huey loved being outdoors, including riding his tractor and working in the yard. 
He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel C. and Ollie Maebelle Huey; three brothers, Joe, Earl and Crawford Huey; two sisters, Vivian Carson and Lula Marie Reynolds; and two grandsons, John William Patterson Jr. and Bruce Creason.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Nina Huey; four daughters, Beverly Rogers (Hollis), Karen Green, Dana Rankin Mize (Jim) and Diana Bowen (Ronnie); eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 30, at Ashby Funeral Home with Brother Carl Richey and Brother Bob Harper officiating. Burial will be at New Friendship Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are Greg Rogers, Tommy Rogers, Jim Mize, Chris Waller, Hollis Rogers and Darin Jacek. Honorary pallbearers are Holly Rogers, Brittany Rogers, Zane Rogers and Leslie Waller.
Visitation is set from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 29, at Ashby Funeral Home.
