Fannie Dorian, 76, of Benton, passed away peacefully Monday, March 5, at Saline Memorial Hospice House in Bryant.
She was born March 19, 1935, to the late Warren B. and Marie Redden in Little Rock.
Mrs. Dorian was a retired 26-year employee of Saline Memorial Hospital's X-ray department.Â She was a graduate at Bauxite, known as â€śShaw University.â€ťÂ Â Mrs. Dorian was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Benton.Â
She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Thomas Earl Dorian; two brothers, Jimmy Redden of Tennessee and Warren â€śBuckâ€ť Redden; sisters, Willie Mae Bauer, Ruth â€śCurlyâ€ť Blacklock, Mary Lucille Burke and Ann Pate; and a son-in-law, Marcus Lee White.
She is survived by two daughters, Edna â€śPeeweeâ€ť Dorian-White and Judy Dorian Elrod and husband Rick; a grandson, Marcus Allen Griffin; a sister, Sue Samples; her brother-in-law, â€śLamarâ€ť Roy Blacklock; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 8, at Ashby Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Old Rosemont Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, at Ashby Funeral Home. The family will be at 301 Turtle Creek Road in Benton.
