Father of Arkansas Methodism topic of Bryant Historical Society program
Thursday Feb. 13 at 6 p.m., the Bryant Historical Society will present one of four programs at the Mabel Boswell Memorial Library.
The topic of the program is Andrew Hunter, who is the father of Arkansas Methodism. Hunter was a circuit riding minister in the 1880s. He also lived in Bryant and was active in politics and religious development in the community, said Patsy Kuhn, Bryant Historical Society president.
"Please attend and learn about this great man who contributed to the development of Bryant and its great heritage," Kuhn said.
Steve Perdue, head of genealogy and local history department will be the speaker for the program.
