August 6, 2014

Jeff Osborn, 50, and Joey Osborn, 27

A father and a son are facing rape charges in conjunction with the alleged sexual assaults of a mentally challenged girl, according to Scotty Courtney, public information officer for the Saline County Sheriff's Office.

Jeff Osborn, 50, of 10225 Mars Hill Road, Bauxite, was jailed initially at the Saline County Detention Center, but has been released on bond, Courtney said. He faces two counts of rape and other possible charges, he added.

Joey Osborn, 27, of the same address, remains jailed on a parole hold and currently faces four counts of rape, Courtney said.

The alleged assaults occurred at the Osborn home, Courtney said.

The victim is now 19, according to the investigator's report of the incidents that are believed to have been occurring for some time.

Joey Osborn recently was released from prison on unrelated charges, the report notes.
Courtney said the investigation is continuing and additional charges are possible.
