Flora K. Young

Flora K. Young, 89, of Erda, Utah, formerly of Benton, went to be with the Lord on June 12.  She passed at home surrounded by family and friends. She was born August 4, 1921, in Saline County to the late Henry Hurliman and Anna Vollenweider Hurliman. On February 16, 1943, she married Clyde D. Young.
Flora was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother and a dear friend who enjoyed both her flower and vegetable gardens as well as cooking delicious meals. Mrs. Young was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church for over 50 years.   

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde D. Young. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Fannie Hurliman, Emilie Brown, Martha Perryman and Anna Kinsel.   Survivors include her son, William H. Young and wife, Dola, of Erda, Utah; daughter, Anna Belle Taylor and husband, Aaron, of Oklahoma City, Okla.; one brother, Johnnie Hurliman of Benton; two sisters, Bertha Cohrt of Alexander and Meda Kyser of Benton; six grandchildren, Clyde Hugh Young, Michael Todd Young, William Dale Young, Zachary Taylor, Rebecca Taylor and Rachel Taylor Watkins; and two great-grandchildren, Alexandrya Young and Ryder Taylor.  
 
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today, at the funeral home. The funeral service will be Friday at 1 p.m., at the Roller-Ballard Funeral Home chapel, 501-315-4047.
