Francis Earline McCallister

Francis Earline McCallister, 83, of Benton came into this world Feb. 2, 1930, and left this world unexpectedly Aug. 12, 2013. 
She was married to Edward McCallister until 2003 when he passed away. She was a member of Holland Chapel Baptist Church, where all her grandchildren went with her many times as young children.
Earline worked at Benton Civitan Center for 25 years. She enjoyed working with kids and adults and being involved with Special Olympics.  Her hobbies were sewing, cooking and working in her yard.
She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Peggy Ann Lewis, who passed away as a small child; her parents, Burl Caldwell of Newport; her mother, Josephine Babbs of Haskell. Other siblings that went on before her were her brother, Robert Babbs of Benton; a sister, Betty Caldwell of Benton; her oldest sister, Marvaline Martell of Missouri.
Earline is survived by her two children, Larry Lewis of Hot Springs and wife Cheryl; a daughter, Paula Bermingham, and husband Brian of Bauxite; grandsons, Wade Lewis and wife Amanda of Bauxite, Michael Golleher of Bauxite, Lance Bermingham of Bauxite; a granddaughter, Lindsey Lewis of Little Rock; and two great-grandchildren, Paige and Hunter Lewis of Bauxite.
Funeral service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15, at Ashby Funeral Home with the Rev. Kim Hammer officiating Burial will follow at Ten Mile Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
