Hazel Christene Harden

Hazel Christene Harden, 91, of Lake Village died Sunday, Sept. 30, at Chicot Memorial Medical Center in Lake Village.  She was born Aug. 17, 1921, in Holmes County, Miss., to the late Sam and Lena Harthcock.  She was a homemaker and a member of Lake Village Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband John Elmer Harden, her parents, two brothers and one sister. 
She is survived by her daughters, Nancy Harden of Lake Village; Linda Outlaw and husband, Gary, of Monticello; and Ruth Walker and husband, Kerry, of Bryant; four grandchildren, Greg Outlaw and wife, Amanda, of Bryant; Amy Sanders and husband, Kent, of Benton; Leslie Prothro and husband, Kody, of Benton; and Lisa Walker of Bryant; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 3, at Lake Village Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Tarver officiating.  Burial will follow in Lake Village Cemetery under the direction of Bishop Funeral Home of Lake Village. Pallbearers are Larry Vaughn, Greg Outlaw, Kent Sanders, Ron Jones, Tim Watkins, Bruce Bond and Roy Wetzler.  Honorary pallbearers are Gary Matthews and Bob Brantley.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 2, at Bishop Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the Arkansas Baptist Children’s Home.
