Heather Danielle Baker, 20, of Benton went to be with the Lord on Aug. 22, 2014.
Heather was born in Searcy on Nov. 7, 1993. She was known for her genuine personality, her wit and her perfect smile.
Heather found a way to have fun no matter what she was doing. She had a love for shopping, photography, and spending time with her family and friends. She had a way of making everyone she met feel like they were the most important person in the world.
She was a graduate of Mt. Vernon-Enola High School class of 2012 and a student at Pulaski Technical College where she was majoring in interior design and accounting.
Heather was preceded in death by her grandfather, Don Gilstrap; and her grandmothers, Wilma Baker and Faye Chance.
She is survived by her loving parents, Darren and Michele Baker and Sandy and Allen Chance. Also surviving are her brothers, Travis Baker and Coe Baker and wife Alycia; a sister, Leslie Baker; and two stepsisters, Randi Chance and Vanda and Eric Phillips.
She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Ashtyn and Haygan Phillips, Kaliegh Coates, and Lilly and Kinley Jobe. Heather loved them dearly.
She was excited to welcome another nephew, Heath Daniel Baker, in December.
Heather also leaves behind her loving grandparents, Michael and Jamie Baker, Philip and Janice Stephens, JoAnn Gilstrap and Wayne Wright; her great-grandmother, Helen Walker; and numerous aunts and uncles, cousins, family and friends who will cherish her memory.
Heather also is survived by her longtime boyfriend, Cody Buchanan, and his family. Her love for Cody was unconditional. He was the love of her life and center of her world.
A celebration of life will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 29, at Grace Church of Bryant.
The family will receive visitors from 5 to 8 p.m. today, Aug. 28, at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home in Bryant.
