Helen Joyce Henthorne

Helen Joyce Henthorne, 80, of Red Bay, Ala., formerly of Benton, passed away Aug. 8.  She was born Jan. 12, 1932, in Pittsburg, Texas, to the late Bernon and Flora Chapman Braswell. 
Helen was retired from Ford Motor Co. after 31 years as a purchasing agent.  She was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jerry Lee Braswell.
She is survived by her husband, Bill Henthorne; a son, Phillip Henthorne and wife Michonne of Russellville, Ala.; two daughters, Cathy Meek and husband Greg of Hernando, Miss., and Nancy Thomas and husband Larry of Franklin County, Ala.; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 10, at Pinecrest Cemetery with the Rev. Carl Wright officiating.
Ashby Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Aug. 9, at the funeral home.
