Herndon Watson, 78, of East End passed away Friday, Feb. 1. He was a Baptist, a Korean War Navy veteran, a retired transportation supervisor, a youth baseball and softball coach, an avid Razorback fan and loved to dance.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd Watson and Della Watson Kaiser; and his wife, Joan Strange Watson.
He is survived by a son, Rusty Watson; two daughters, Lou Ann Elmore and Leslie Thomas and husband John; a brother, Charles Watson and spouse Dean; sisters Wilma Croy and husband Wayne and Pat Dunger and husband Mike; grandchildren, Blake and Layne Elmore, Trevor Thomas and wife Desiree; a great-granddaughter, Cadence Elmore; and a companion, Sheila Blankenship.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home, 10900 I-30, Little Rock. Burial will be at Salem Cemetery in East End.
The family will be at 22133 Phillip Drive in East End.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4, at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
