Wilson is a beautiful black and white cat that has been at the Humane Society of Saline County about 12 weeks.
He needs a special home, according to Ann Sanders, director of the Humane Society of Saline County.
"Wilson had nearly starved to death and had very little hair when we took him in," Sanders said.
"We think someone put flea drops on him and that is what made the large sore he suffered that left him with no hair on the back of his neck," Sanders said.
She noted that Dr. Eric Jayne first treated Wilson and then the staff at the Humane Society has been "giving him lots of tender love and care along with lots of food."
"Wilson loves to eat and will reach through the bars of his cage to make sure you don't forget to feed him," Sanders said.
"He is a staff favorite at the Humane Society and we are all waiting for that special someone to come along and adopt him," she said.
Wilson's adoption fee is $75.
This special cat may be seen at the shelter between noon and 4 p.m.Tuesday through Saturday.
The facility also houses a number of other cats and kittens as well as dogs of many varieties. All animals that are adopted from the facility are first spayed or neutered.
The shelter is at 7100 Bauxite Highway.
Donations to assist the society may be mailed at any time to P.O. Box 305, Benton, AR 72018.
