Ima Dee Curtis Yates, 89, of Benton died Wednesday, Sept. 12.
She was born July 8, 1923, in Swink, Okla.
Ima was a retired LPTN and a member of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Minnie Hathcock Curtis; her husband, Dan Gilbert Yates; nine brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by her sons, Kenneth Yates and wife Barbara of Texas, Dan Yates and wife Shelia of Benton, Paul Yates and wife Ora Lee of Benton, and Fred "Al" Yates and wife Janie of Benton; a daughter, Kathleen "Cathy" Sides and husband Mack of Benton; a brother, Murl Curtis of Hot Springs; two sisters, Louise Carney of Centennial, Colo., and Ira B. Curtis of Dumas, Texas; nine grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 17, at Ashby Funeral Home with the Revs. Freddie Blohm and Vance Nutt officiating. Burial will be at Bolin Cemetery in Paron.
Pallbearers are Wayne Hutchison, Don Benham, Philip Shepard, J. W. Deere, Joel McPherson, Jim Grubbs and Reuben Deere.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16, at the funeral home.
