Jack Scott

Jack Scott, age 82, of Benton died Thursday, June 7, at Baptist Health Medical Center. He was born in Aplin, on Jan. 31, 1930, to the late Robert Bert and Viola Padgett Scott. He was a building contractor for many years, loved his job and was a member of Highland Valley United Methodist Church. In addition, he enjoyed playing golf, traveling and going on cruises.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Debbie Ann Crane; one sister, Ara Scott Drum; and two step-children, Rick Bishop and Julie Bishop.
He is survived by his wife, Eutha Bishop Scott of Benton; three children, Susan Jean Jackson and husband Eddie of New Orleans, La., Mike Scott and wife Debbie of Benton and Tim Scott of Bauxite; three stepchildren, Doug Bishop and wife Carol, Ted Bishop and wife Becky and Kathy Bishop; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, June 9, at Griffin Leggett Forest Hills Funeral Home, 10200 Highway 5 North, Alexander, AR (501) 455-1067, with the Rev. Wade Shownes officiating. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
Visitation is set from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 8, at the funeral home.
