James Albert "Jim" Jolly

James Albert "Jim" Jolly, 82, of Purdon, Texas, formally of Tull, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 28, peacefully, at his residence.
James was born in Bessemer, Alabama on March 27, 1929, a son of the late Essie Greer Jolly and C.M. Jolly.
He worked as a supervisor for RDV Construction Company. He was married to Betty Boyette on September 7, 1978 in Dallas, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one son, James Ray Jolly, one sister Esther Ruth Rainey and son-in-law Frank Otero.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Betty Boyette Jolly of Purdon, Texas, son, Ronald Lynn and wife Sherry of Searcy, stepson, James David Huckabee and wife Angela of La Porte, Texas, three step daughters, Barbara Bolton and husband Bruce of Southlake, Texas, Arlene Otero of Garland, Texas, Darlene King of Gun Barrel, Texas, 14 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Dec. 30, at Green Funeral Home, with Pastor Michael Massey officiating. Interment to follow at Ferris Memorial Park North in Ferris, Texas. A visitation was held Thursday, Dec. 29 at Green Funeral Home 207 S. Wood St. Ferris, Texas. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Green Funeral Home.
