James Mitchell Orrell, 63, of Jessieville passed away March 10, 2014. He was born May 7, 1950, in Steve, Ark., to Bob and Lillie Orrell. Mitchell was a U.S. Army veteran and a longtime employee of Alcoa. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved to garden and raise his animals. He had a great sense of humor and was a devoted family man.
Mitchell was loved by all and will be deeply missed.
He was predeceased by his father, Bob Orrell, and a sister, Wanda Sue.
Mitchell is survived by his loving wife, Ruth Orrell of Jessieville; his children, Mark Orrell and Melissa (Terry) White, all of Benton; his mother, Lillie Orrell of Benton; his stepchildren, Allen (Randi) Dill of Hot Springs, Paul Dill of Story and Kim (Eric) Lund of Hot Springs Village; his brothers, Lloyd (Diane) Orrell of Bauxite and Kenneth (Jerri) Orrell of Benton; his sisters, Virginia Messner of Mabelvale and Loretta (Kevin) Mansfield of Benton; and his grandchildren, Madison, Kalynn, Catlyn and Erin.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 15, at Prairie Grove Church of God in Fanny with Brother Ed DePriest and the Rev. Davy McCool officiating. Burial will follow at Nooner Cemetery in Hollis.
Pallbearers will include his brothers, children and Michael Faila.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 14, at Caruth Village Funeral Home.
