James Ray Coburn

James Ray Coburn, 81, of Benton, passed away Sunday, October 14.  He was born October 4, 1931 in Benton to the late Jim and Lillian Coburn.  Mr. Coburn was a U.S. Army Veteran, retired from Reynolds and a member of Sharon Missionary Baptist Church.  He was preceded in death by his parents; son, John David Coburn and a sister, Jo Wright.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Virginia Coburn; two nephews, Danny Wright and wife, Beth of Lonoke and Curt Wright and wife, Susie of Hot Springs and many extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 17 at Ashby Funeral Home with burial at New Rosemont Cemetery.  Bro. Muncy Harris, Bro. Richard Hamlin and Bro. Buster Warrick will be officiating. Pallbearers will be Danny Wright, Curtis Wright, Randy Carter, Lance Carter, Neil Robinson and Danny Cochran.  Honorary pallbearers will be Nick Carter, Carter Robinson and J. Tom Wright. Memorials may be made to CARTI.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, October 16 at Ashby Funeral Home.
