James T. "Jim" Johnson, 86, of Shannon Hills died Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013.
He was born June 17, 1927, in Hickman County, Kentucky, to the late Carlos Dewey Johnson and Annie Lee Hicks Johnson.
Jim was a real estate appraiser and a veteran of the U.S. Army.Â He was a member of Sardis United Methodist Church and a former member of Rose City Cumberland Presbyterian Church in North Little Rock.
Mr. Johnson was a charter member of the Kentucky Farmhouse Fraternity at the University of Kentucky.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Mary Virginia (Brooks) Johnson; his children, Dwain Johnson and wife Linda of Houston, Texas, David Johnson and wife Sherri of Tallahassee, Fla., J.T. Johnson and wife Lori of Norman, Okla., and Virginia Painter and husband Ladd of Asheville, N.C.; nine grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Funeral service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 28, at Sardis United Methodist Church with the Rev. Steven Dickinson and the Rev. Bobby Coleman officiating.Â Burial will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery in Alexander.Â
Serving as pallbearers are Mr. Johnson's grandsons: Jonathan Price, Matthew Johnson, Jimi Johnson, Eric Johnson, Ryan Johnson and Kyle Johnson.
