James Thomas Hogue

James Thomas Hogue, 88, of Mabelvale passed away Monday, Jan. 13, 2014.  He was born in Saline County on Aug. 1, 1925, to the late Thomas Randolph and Pearl Hogue.
He served in the Navy during World War II and worked for the railroad during his lifetime.
James was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother.
He is survived by six sons, James L. Hogue of Cabot, Rick F. Hogue of Alexander, Troy A. Hogue of Hot Springs, Charles C. Hogue of Mabelvale, Wayne T. Hogue of Mabelvale and Larry D. Hogue of Benton; two daughters, Linda J. Byford of Texas and Lenora Lattin of Alexander; a brother, William B. Hogue of Benton; 13 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, at McPherson Cemetery in Sardis with Brother Roger Johnson officiating.
Visitation is set from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17, at Ashby Funeral Home.
