James William Middlebrooks

James William Middlebrooks, 83, of Benton, went to be with the Lord Saturday, May 19.  He was born Aug. 23, 1928 in Bastrop, La., to the late Howard Middlebrooks and Agnus (Laing) Middlebrooks Ellard. 
Mr. Middlebrooks founded Middlebrooks Electric in 1945.  He was a member of West Bauxite Missionary Baptist Church in Bauxite.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Bobbie (Webb) Middlebrooks; three sons, James Ross Middlebrooks and wife Jackie of Spring, Texas, Greg Middlebrooks and wife Kim of Benton, and Allen Middlebrooks and wife Teresa of Benton; two daughters, Debbie Restum and husband A.J. of Sugar Land, Texas, and Carolyn Wright and husband Doyle of Benton; 10 grandchildren, Jason Middlebrooks, Lance Restum, Josh Restum, Jay Wright, Tara Wright, Tyler Middlebrooks, Shelly Morrella, Kayla Middlebrooks, C.J. Engel, and Mackenzie Middlebrooks; two great-grandchildren, Amber Middlebrooks and Jack Middlebrooks; one sister, Norma Taylor of Benton; and two brothers, Will Middlebrooks of Benton and Marvin Middlebrooks of Fort Worth, Texas.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, May 22, at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home in Benton (501-315-4047) with the Rev. Melvin Burris officiating.  Burial will follow at New Rosemont Memorial Park in Benton.
Serving as pallbearers are Mr. Middlebrooks’ grandsons.  Employees of Middlebrooks Electric will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m.today, May 21 at the funeral home.
