Janie Nanette Goodman, 56, of Benton passed away Monday, Jan. 21, at Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock. She was born July 9, 1956, in Benton to the late Oscar Truman “Slim” Wilson and Jo Renee Wilson Kennemur.
“Nan” graduated from Benton High School in 1974 and was of the Baptist faith. She loved gardening, crystal hunting and trips to the lake and ocean.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Truman “Buster” Wilson; one sister, Wanda Kay Wilson; her mother-in-law, Sara Goodman; one sister-in-law, Susan Berk; and one nephew, Blake Taylor.
She is survived by her husband of 13 years, Bob Goodman; two daughters, Courtney Nyx Adams of Ozark and Kyndal Jewell Adams of Benton; one grandson, Jea “Alec” Purdom; one sister, Jo Ellen LaMaster and husband Fred of Benton; one brother, David Eli Wilson of Benton; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
A celebration of “Nan’s” life will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home in Benton.
In addition to flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
