Jean Cowden Saunders

Jean Cowden Saunders, 84, Benton passed away April 13, 2011. 
She was born June 11, 1926, in Bauxite.
She graduated from Wesleyan College and taught in the Bryant School System. Later, she founded and successfully ran Cowden Art Conservation for many years. Jean also was an author and published children’s books. Her interests included, flower gardens and working crosswords.
Survivors include a son, David Henry Cowden III and wife Era; daughter, Jean Cowden Kisker and husband Harry; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Graveside memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, April 18 at Pinecrest Memorial Park. Arrangements by Ashby Funeral Home. 
Visitation will be from to 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
