Jefferson David “J.D.” McVay

Jefferson David “J.D.” McVay, 69, of Little Rock, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 14.
He was born Feb. 18, 1942 in Little Rock to the late Ewell Gilford McVay Sr. and Helen Moody McVay.  He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Albert McVay; and two sisters, Ona Spinnenweber and Elizabeth Lindsey.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Julie Rose McVay; a daughter, Julie R. Lockert and husband Victor; a son, Fred Christensen; four grandchildren, Cynthea Jones, Robert Jones, Victoria Lockert and Eden Christensen; and a great-grandson, Austin Lee Glover; three brothers, Jean McVay, Teddy McVay and Gilford McVay; and five sisters, Ozella Anderson, Irene Shamlin, Nancy Brown, Sherry Cherry Hilliard and Janice Ashbrook.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb 17, at Ashby Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park. 
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m.today, Feb 16, at the funeral home.
