Jim Hunter

Jim Hunter, 80, of Benton, went to be with the Lord, Monday, August 8.  He was born August 14, 1930 in Porum, Oklahoma.  Mr. Hunter was retired from the U.S. Air Force and of the Baptist faith.  He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Cora Hunter; two brothers Lloyd O. and Glen C. Hunter and a sister, Vera Lee Shell
He is survived by his wife, Tommie Hunter; daughter, Gina Mitchell-Hurley; granddaughter, Lisa Wright; great-grandson, Jacob Beck; two nieces and a nephew.
Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m., Friday, August 12 at Ashby Funeral Home with the funeral beginning at 11 a.m.  Bro. Curtis Kyle will be officiating.
Family Comments:  Jim enjoyed dancing, traveling, playing cards with his friends, and has a passion for antique cars. He was dedicated to his country and a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. Being bald he always joked he was having a bad hair day but whether he's doing the Texas two-step or waltzing in heaven we can be rest assured he' having a good hair day.
