Jimmy Winbury, age 74, of East End was born Sept. 6, 1939, in Saline County. He joyously entered his heavenly home Saturday, April 19, 2014, at St. Vincent Infirmary Medical Center, leaving much love but sadness to all who loved him.
Jimmy had a tremendous love of the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a member of Potter Creek Hunting Club. He was retired from AMF Cycle Co. and Coca-Cola Bottling Co.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Othel and Virginia Winbury; and two sisters, Betty and Hazel Eaton.
He is survived by his wife, Pat Winbury; a son, Tim Winbury; a grandson, Timothy Winbury; two brothers, Billy Bob Winbury and Charles Winbury, all of East End; four step-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 21. at Ashby Funeral Home.
Funeral service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 22, at East End Baptist Church. Burial will be at Salem Cemetery.
