Joyce Gale Callahan Cooper

Joyce Gale Callahan Cooper, 80, of Haskell went home to be with the Lord on Feb. 4, 2014.  She was born Oct. 11, 1933, in Haskell to the late Ovie and Gladys Stirman Callahan.
Joyce worked for Reynolds Aluminum Co. until she retired.  She was a current member of Cross Roads Missionary Baptist Church and previously had been a member for 57 years at Mt. Harmony Missionary Baptist Church in Haskell. 
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 50 years, Ottis James Cooper; and a brother, Arthur Callahan of Danville.
Joyce is survived by two sister, June Ramsey of Little Rock and Shirley (Henry) Jones of Haskell; five children, Brenda Joyce (Rick) McDougal, Virginia Gale (Bill) Clements, James Cooper, Trisha Cooper and Jay (Arlene) Cooper; 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at mt. Harmony Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Mt. Harmony Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7, at Ashby Funeral Home.
