Katherine Danielle Palludan

August 26, 2014

Katherine Danielle Palludan 21, of Bryant, passed away Aug. 17, 2014, after multiple heart surgeries. Her parents were by her side at the time.
Katherine was born on Oct. 30, 1992, to Philip and Deborah Palludan in Little Rock. She attended UALR and walked magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree in Anthropology.
Katherine worked as an educator for the Museum of Discovery in Little Rock, where she loved to teach children about science and all of the fun and mysterious aspects of the world.
She was full of life. She loved fiercely, and was loved by everyone she met, not the least of which were her family, her boyfriend, and countless friends and colleagues.
Katherine loved world travel; she was very artistic, creative, adventurous and imaginative. She loved the "Mad Scientist" role while working at the museum.
Being different was Katherine's way of life. She was not a follower; she trod her own path and brought joy to all that she met along the way. She was very honest and sincere, and she spoke her mind whether others liked what she had to say or not. She lived life with humor, integrity, and empathy.
Katherine loved literature, and was an accomplished but unpublished writer. Katherine always remembered Gibbs Rule No. 9, and the number 42.
Katherine was preceded in death by her younger brother, Ryan Palludan, whom she adored.
She is survived by her parents, Phil and Deborah; her brother, Ole Kristoffer and his wife Erica; her sister, Neva and her husband Jeff; nieces and nephews Kirsten, Liam, Charlie, Rylan, Kortney, Tiffany,  Austin, Sam; and her boyfriend Parker, as well as aunts, uncles, and cousins in Pennsylvania, England, and Denmark. Katherine had many friends around the world, all of whom will remember and miss her dearly.
A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 28, at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home in Bryant. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
Visitation is set from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26, at the funeral home.
