Kelle Gwen Phillips Ray, 47, of Alexander died Tuesday Jan. 3, at her residence. She was born Feb. 18, 1964, in Texarkana, Texas.
She was a 1982 graduate of Arkansas High School in Texarkana and a 1987 graduate of the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. She was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority, was a longtime pharmaceutical representative, and was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church in Little Rock.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ed Phillips.
She is survived by her husband, Dr. Steven Ray; a son, Parker Davis Ray of Alexander; a daughter, Cassaday Ray of Alexander; her mother, Jo Gwen Phillips of Texarkana; a brother, J.D. Phillips, of Texarkana; aunts and uncles, E.C. and Jane Davenport of Texarkana and Dr. Pat and Annette Phillips of Fort Smith; one special cousin, Dara Mauldin of Texarkana; and a number of other relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan 7, at Rondo Memorial Park with the Rev. Bruce Bennett officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Texarkana, Arkansas.
