Lady Hornet earns all-state

After missing out on the 7A girls state golf championships final round on Tuesday, the Bryant Lady Hornets’ golf team had two players golfing as individuals.
The Lady Hornets came in sixth place out of 10 teams on Monday in the championship’s opening round, and the top five teams advanced to the final round.
Sophomore Peyton Weaver shot a 15-over 86 on Tuesday after scoring an 85 on Monday. She finished ninth overall with her 171 and earned all-state honors.
Sophomore Savanna Cathey shot two strokes better than her day one score of 98, finishing with a 96 on Tuesday. Cathey’s 194 gave her 17th place.
