Larry Eugene Pruitt

Larry Eugene Pruitt passed away Sunday morning, July 28, 2013.  He was 74.
Larry was born July 17, 1939, in Schnook, Kan.  A retired engineer from Hot Springs, he also worked as a school bus driver and maintenance man in McFarland, Calif. His passion was playing lead guitar in his band and fishing.  
He lived a very courageous life with a heritage of President Zachery Taylor on his father Earnest Eugene Pruitt's, side of family and Sitting Bull on his mother Vivian Irene Pruitt's side of family. Also preceding him death was his son, Kenneth Ray Pruitt.
Larry Pruitt had pride, love and joy in all his family members.  He was the youngest of three siblings. He had an older brother, Richard Pruitt of Central Point, Ore., and a sister, Barbara Johnson of Lindsay, Calif.
He was married to Theresa Lavern Pruitt, his beloved wife of 56 years. Other survivors are their five children with the oldest being Larry Lee Pruitt, Kenneth Ray Pruitt, Karen Irene Ward, Laura Marie Thomason-Pruitt and Lisa Dian Crain. He had nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 2 at Ashby Funeral Home.
Burial will be at Langley Cemetery. 
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 1 at Ashby Funeral Home.
