Lawrence “Bud” Brotherton Jr., 75, of Traskwood passed away Saturday, March 1, 2014 at his home.
He was born June 26, 1938, in Coy. Lawrence was retired from Alcoa and was a U.S. Army Veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence T.  and Cora Lee Combs Brotherton; a brother, Billy Brotherton; and three sisters, Daisy Brotherton, Carmelita Brotherton and Ruthie Brotherton.
He is survived by a son, Jason Brotherton; two daughters, Cynthia “Cindy” Smith and Revonna (Larry) Erwin; a half-brother, Tommy Brotherton; two sisters, Rosie Trout and Carrie Pierce; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 5, at Traskwood Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are Robert Chapman Jr., Johnathon Smith, Billy Beck, Miles McPherson, Blake Morgan, Michael Morgan and Casey Moreland. Honorary pallbearers are Larry Erwin, Donald Moreland and Carlos Durden.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, at Ashby Funeral Home.
