Leonard Phillip Neighbors, 72, of Benton passed away Sunday, March 27, 2011.
He was born March 17, 1939, in Bauxite.
Mr. Neighbors retired from AT&T, served in the National Guard and was a member of Grape Chapel Church of God. He was one of the founding father’s (Card Holder #3) of the Arkansas Rodeo Association and a Gold Card Holder in the PRCA.
Mr. Neighbors was preceded in death by his parents, Grady and Gertrude Neighbors; and an infant son.
He is survived by his wife, Rose Marilyn Neighbors; three sons, Todd Neighbors and wife Regina, James Walker Neighbors and wife Tracy and Cass Neighbors and wife Polly; brother, James Carl Neighbors; sister, Carlene Brazil; and three grandchildren, Brantly, Brad and Grace Neighbors.
Memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Grape Chapel Church of God. Danny Newland and Rick Dunn will be officiating. Arrangements are by Ashby Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Grape Chapel Church of God.
