Lester Hicks

Lester Hicks, 71, of Fort Smith went to be with the Lord Monday, June 6, 2011, at Sparks Regional Medical Center. He was born Oct. 11, 1939, in Bauxite, to the late Vern and Gladys Hayes Hicks. Mr. Hicks was a retired gentleman farmer. 
One brother and three sisters preceded him in death. 
Mr. Hicks is survived by his wife, Brenda Hicks of Fort Smith; two sons, Wayne Hicks and wife Kim of Paris and Joe Hicks and wife Cindy of Springdale; two brothers, Henry Hicks of Mt. Olive and Horace Hicks of Grand Bay, Ala.; six grandchildren, Shane and Kriston of Benton, Tessie and Michael of Paris, Caitlyn and Zane of Springdale, and two great-grandchildren. 
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 9, at Mars Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Bauxite with Bro. Davy McCool officiating. Interment will follow in Mars Hill Cemetery.  
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 8, at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home, 315-4047.
