Lila Lee Raper

Lila Lee Raper, age 79, of Hot Springs Village, formerly of Benton, passed away Monday, June 9, 2014.  She was born February 26, 1935 in Bald Knob.  Mrs. Raper was a member of the Arkansas Education Association and of the Baptist Faith.  After teaching for 31 years at Angie Grant Elementary, she retired.  She would always share stories of her cows and animals with her students.  Mrs. Raper was an avid outdoors person and loved farming. 
She was preceded in death her parents, Ernest and Edna Grayson; husband, Jimmy Raper and a brother, John Christen Grayson.
She is survived by Gregg S. Willard of Hot Springs Village; three sisters, Ladelle Grayson Keck (Bill) of Charlotte, North Carolina, Mary Lou Grayson Peters of Conway and Esther Grayson Brannan (Frank) of Conway; nephew, Barth Grayson of Bald Knob and numerous extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, June 13 at Ashby Funeral Home with burial at Forest Hills Cemetery. 
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 12 at Ashby Funeral Home.
