Lillian Anita 'Nannie' Jones

Lillian Anita "Nannie" Jones, 91, of Benton, spread her wings and went to meet the Lord on Aug. 20, 2013, with her family by her side. She was born to George and Annie Lee Thompson Halpain on Nov. 1, 1921, in Bauxite.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father; two brothers, G.W. Halpain and Luke Halpain; two sisters, Gladys Cox and Martha Robertson; and her husband, Raymond E. Jones.
She is survived by her son, Jerry Jones and wife Christie; a daughter, Linda Wise and husband Joe; two grandchildren, Lindie Landers and husband Cayce and Cody Jones and wife Stacey; five great-grandchildren, Lainie Jo Parks, Carter Landers, Cannon Landers, and Austin and Ethan; a special cousin, J.C. Halpain; and special friends, Mike and Erma Hicks.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, at New Rosemont Cemetery with the Rev. Carl Wright officiating.
Pallbearers are Cody Jones, Joe Wise, Cayce Landers, Ronnie Stuckey, Mickey Stuckey and Dennis Jordan. Honorary pallbearers are J.C. Halpain and Mike Hicks.
Visitation is set from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23, at Ashby Funeral Home.
