Linda Linton Miller

Linda Linton Miller, 69, of Benton, surrounded and embraced by her loving family, passed away Oct. 11, 2012. 
She was a devoted daughter, mother, wife and teacher.  Linda was preceded in death by her father, William Linton.
She is survived by her mother, Mildred Linton; her husband, Del; two daughters and their husbands, Brittney Miller and Adrian Cable, Erin and Matt Spharler; one brother and his wife, Bill and Dale Linton; a niece, Debby Linton; a nephew, Billy Linton and wife Jamie; grand-nephews, Wil and Jake; a nephew, Rusty Linton and wife Amanda; a grand-niece, Kylee, and grand-nephews, Eli and Jace.
Linda was a retired Benton Public Schools gifted and talented facilitator.  She spent her early career as an elementary teacher. 
Later in her career she served as Benton High School academic coach, with her teams winning six state Quiz Bowl championships, seven state and one international Future Problem Solving championship.  She followed the careers and kept in personal contact with scores of her beloved students.  She loved her many friends and relished their company.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m.. Wednesday, Oct. 17, at Ashby Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, at the funeral home.
Burial will be be at New Friendship Cemetery.
