Lorene Turner

Lorene Turner, 84, of Benton, passed away June 30 in Bryant. She was born June 14, 1927, in Dora, Ala. to the late Henry and Nora Cornelious Tingle. She was a retired banker for City National Bank in Ft. Smith and a member of Northside Church of Christ in Benton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, McDuffie Turner, brother, Edward Tingle, and three sisters, Viola Peterson, Louise White, and Billie Harmon.
Survivors include two daughters, Neva Elease Stephens and husband, Rick of South Bend, Ind., and Debbie Bridges and husband, Randy of Benton; five granddaughters, Jennifer Stephens, Marcia Tatay, Lauren Bridges, Sarah Bridges, and Molli Anne Bridges; one great-granddaughter, Madeline Tatay; two sisters, Hazel Butler of Dora, Ala., and Marie Green of Birmingham, Ala., and other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home in Benton. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Sunday. A graveside service is scheduled for Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham, Ala.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials may be made to Bethany Adoption, 1100 North University Avenue, Suite 66, Little Rock, AR. 72207.
