Lorene (Wilson) Harrison, 85, of Vimy Ridge was born Dec. 28, 1927, and passed away peacefully in her home on Feb. 28.
Lorene and her husband Leonard were joined together in marriage March 24, 1946, and were married for 67 years. Lorene took great pride in serving her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as a faithful member of the Village Creek Baptist Church.
She enjoyed gardening, canning, sewing and homemaking, while delighting in caring for her husband, and their children and grandchildren with her quiet, resourceful and influential spirit.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Seth and Minnie Mann, who raised her from an infant; her parents, John and Abbie Wilson; her brothers, Edward Wilson of Tennessee, H.B. Wilson of Mississippi and James Wilson of North Little Rock.
She is survived by her husband, Leonard Harrison; daughters, Alice Ritter and husband Gerald of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Kathy Blais and husband Gilbert, Joyce Lowe and husband Moki, all of Alexander; a son, Gordon Harrison and wife Doris of Alexander; grandchildren, Abbie Ritter, Karen Davis and husband Robert, Tina Birdsong and husband Matt, Lindsey Harrison, Johnna Thomas and husband Patrick, Grant Harrison and wife Kim, Amy Lowe and fiancÃ© Rob Hartsell, Jennifer Wortman and husband John, Elizabeth Curlin and husband Kit, and Emily Lowe.
Also surviving are great-grandchildren Eli Davis, Jaelun Thomas, Calyan Curlin and Lyle Harrison.
Funeral service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, March 4, at Village Creek Baptist Church in Mabelvale, with the Rev. Zane Clark officiating. Burial will be at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 3, at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home, 10900 Interstate 30, Little Rock.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Village Creek Baptist Church.
