Mabelvale man shot: Wife in jail awaiting bond hearing

A man was found Monday morning on the floor of his home on Chicot Acres in Mabelvale with a single gunshot wound.
At 7:15 a.m., Saline County Sheriff's deputies responded to a call reporting an accidental shooting.
Mike Eubanks, 55, was taken by ambulance to the hospital and was pronounced dead by an emergency room physician while MedFlight was en route to pick him up, according to a police report on the incident.
During the investigation, detectives determined the shooting was not accidental.
Laura Eubanks, 56-year-old wife of the victim, was arrested and charged with capital murder.
Eubanks is being held at Saline County Detention Center. A bond hearing is scheduled for Wednesday in the Saline County District Court in Benton.
