Marguerite Rosa Besancon

Marguerite Rosa Besancon, 99, of Benton passed peacefully through the gates of heaven on May 31, 2013. Born Feb 23, 1914 in Little Rock, she was a 1932 graduate of Little Rock Senior High and of the Lutheran faith.
She worked for the FBI in Washington, D.C., and the state of Texas, then established a career as an excellent colorist at Kings Photo Studio in Killeen, Texas, before moving back to Little Rock.
She was a member of the Killeen Civic Art Guild and a longtime member of the Order of the Eastern Star for many years in Killeen and Little Rock. She attended weekly exercise classes until age 90.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rosa and Eugene Besancon; a sister, Clara Besancon; brothers Charles, Raymond, and Eugene, Jr. Besancon; and great-niece Sara Besancon.
She is survived by her brothers, Herman Besancon of Killeen, Texas. and Edwin Besancon and wife Pearl of Mount Juliet, Tenn; his sister-in-law, Melba Besancon of Little Rock; many nieces and nephews; great-nieces and greart-nephews; and great-great nieces and great-great-nephews.
Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 4, at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander.
